HIGHER AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION
Preparation for international competitive exams and for
admission into music conservatories, universities and
colleges all over the world. Non-professional music lovers
of high standard can also register for master classes.
- Training studios: The Academy provides pianists with
practice studios on a daily basis (3 hours per day)
free of charge. Studios are also available to other
instrumentalists and singers.
- All participants, when registered, must mention on their
internet student account their complete personal and
artistic datas (ident and password given to you when
registration is valid). Singing: Singers are requested to send a
short biography (with their
internet student account)
- Students will have classes with the 2 professors mentioned
below : Elisabeth Vidal and André Cognet / Marie-Josèphe
Jude and Jean-François Heisser.
ARRIVAL IN NICE
Each Monday (the first day of the academy)
As soon as participants arrive in Nice, they need to go to
the Academy's office located at the reception of the
Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Nice, 127 avenue de
Brancolar, with their registration and payment receipts. In
the event of dispute, only these documents will have
probative force.
Note!
No student will be admitted for training if he/she has not
settled the total amount of the fees and obtained his/her
student identity card.
- The student identity card, which will be issued only when
the Academy's fees have been settled, will give students
access to the master class, accommodation (if applicable)
and to any event relating to the Academy. The student ID is mandatory everywhere on the campus.
- Office hours of the Academy as from July 18 (Conservatory's
reception):
On Mondays and Tuesdays, from 9AM to 8'30 PM (non-stop)
From Wednesday to Sunday, the Academy's office is open from
8'30AM to 9PM.
- Students not arriving at Office hours have to send us
information with the internet student account, "Late arrival"
menu.
ACCOMMODATION
(Optional and available according to our vacancies)
Bookings for accommodation are on a 7-night basis as follows:
From Monday (departure the next Monday before 9AM)
- The rate is on a full board basis : lunch is at the
Conservatory school restaurant (from 12AM to 1'30PM) and
dinner is at the university restaurant located next to the
halls of residence (from 6'30PM to 7'50PM ). The rate also
includes breakfasts from 7'30AM to 8'30AM and an unlimited
bus pass for the city of Nice.
- Individual rooms equipped with washbasin, shower, toilet,
fridge.
- Bed sheets are provided.
- Access pass to the residence and key: you will be
requested to pay a deposit of €80 Euros in cash upon your
arrival at Nice. It will be given back to you at the end of
your stay. Rooms are available each Monday from 2PM and
these should be returned on the day of departure (the
following Monday) by 9AM at the latest. Your luggage may be
stored in the TV room.
- Housekeeping is made each Monday from 9AM to 3PM. We
advise you to be present during these hours to take car
of your personal belongings.
- Animals are not allowed in the halls of residence.
- You are authorized to play your instrument in your room at
the residence from 10AM to 12AM and from 4PM to 6PM, windows
and door closed. If the student doesn't respect this
regulation, he/she will be excluded from the residence
without any reimbursement.
- Any person who causes damage to any equipment or material
will be liable to compensate the halls of residence.
Similarly, any person who disturbs the public order or the
night rest will be excluded from the residence without any
reimbursement.
- We can provide a limited number of rooms each week. So it
is recommended to participants to register asap.
- We can eventually accept some extra nights (€ 40
Euros/night) between sessions but not at the very beginning
of the Academy, neither at the very last end. Be carefull :
we'll be able to confirm your extra nights only a few days
before the beginning of the Academy.
TARIFICATION
1) The price without accommodation includes:
teacher-taught courses, 1 personal work studio for 3 hours per day, participation in a public audition
(subject o teacher decison), free access to concerts of the “Les Concerts
du Cloître” festival (subject to availability of seats),
official delivery of a certificate, invitation to a friendly
"pique-nique" on the theme of "Nice Specialties” organised
by the Academy.
2) The price with accommodation includes:

“Montebello University Residence” nestled in the park of the
Château Valrose, in Cimiez: personal room with wash basin,
shower, toilet, fridge including breakfast, lunch, dinner,
and bus card for an unlimited number of trips covering Nice.
Note: the Academy has a limited number of rooms available
per week.
3) Certified listener without accommodation, the price
includes:
attendance at courses conducted by a teacher of your choice
for one week, free access to concerts of the
“Les Concerts du Cloître” festival (subject to availability
of seats), invitation to a friendly "pique-nique" on the
theme of “Nice Specialties” organised by the Academy.
4) Certified listener inclusive of accommodation, the fee
includes:

5) Video package: digital video recording of one of your
concerts or your course you will be given before the next
session of the Academy, if you choose the option. You will
absolutely get your DVD home of the Academy before your
departure. No mailing or copies can

Lunch will be served at the Conservatory for a period of 7
days as from the first day of the course and it is included
in the accommodation package. For non residential
participants, the package must be booked upon registration
at the specified rate.

- No application will be considered without the minimum

- Registration : first arrived first served.
- After June, 30 : the Academy doesn't guarantee the student
to get the teacher of his choice.
- After the master class started, it is impossible to change
professor. However, the student can add one or several
courses.
- If the student level is inadequate, the professor can
register the student as Certified Listerner. The student
will only have to pay Certified Listerner fees, and not the
Active student price.
- Those registered as active participants can attend all
other courses as Certified Listeners, subject to the
teacher’s approval.
PAYMENT
- It is mandatory to send the payment along with the
registration form
- The balance must be paid before you start the course.
- A choice of 3 types of payment:
1) I settle the full fees, immediately and only by credit
card and thereby confirming my registration, subject to the
availability of seats.
2) I settle the fees in instalments thereby confirming my
registration so that I get the seats available for this
course:
- the deposit amount (€190 Euros), immediately and only by
credit card,
- 1/3 of the total amount by 30 April (credit card, cheque
or bank transfer),
- the remaining balance by 30 June (credit card, cheque or
bank transfer).
3) I only carry out my pre-registration (deposit of €190
Euros), immediately and by credit card only. I will settle
the balance at my convenience before 30 June. (This
formula does not guarantee your access to the course if the
maximum quota of students definitely enrolled is reached for
the teacher that you have chosen)
- Important:
* For better security regarding credit card payments, the
account will only be debited only after the various
information have been checked.
* No registration will be made in case of failure of credit
card payment
* No registration will be considered without payment of the
deposit amount (€190 Euros).
* Those who wish to pay by cheque or by bank transfer must
send their application by post together with the
registration form which can be downloaded from our website.
* Any participant who has not completed his/her complete
personal and artistic datas on the internet student account
may be removed from the teacher’s list (ident and password
given when registration is valid).
- Modes of payment accepted:
1) Credit card.
A receipt will be delivered at Nice for payments made
through the bank.
2) Bank cheque order drawn to the order of: Academie
Internationale d'Ete de Nice.

3) Bank transfer: it is compulsory to send transfer order to
the Academy. This can be sent
by fax on +33 (0) 4 93 53 33 91 or by postal mail with :
your name, the chosen master class with the name of the
professor and date.
Any bank transfer should have the wording "No charges to be
incurred by the recipient".
Note that in case where, in spite of this mention, bank
charges are claimed from the Academie Internationale d'Ete
de Nice, the participants concerned would be liable to
refund these charges upon their arrival in Nice.

CANCELLATION
In the event of cancellation of the Master class by a
registered student, the Academie Internationale d'Eté de
Nice will refund the fees only in the case where the
participant submits a medical certificate or an indisputable
proof that the interested person is unable to attend the
training. In all cases, deposit amount is not refundable.
In case of change of course or partial cancellation, a sum
of 10 euros per change or partial cancellation will be
charged extra.
No cancellation or change of courses will be considered
after June 30. The student will thus be liable to pay the
sum due.
Furthermore, the Academy reserves the right to cancel the
whole or part of the training, in case of external events
beyond its control or in case of unavailability of one or
more professors or in case of insufficient number of
participants.
All payments made by the participants, excluding any
compensation, will then be refunded as soon as possible.
Trainees who stop their training without any valid reason
will not be eligible for any refund.
This also applies to the accommodation fees.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Although the Academie Internationale d'Ete de Nice has
taken all necessary guarantees to insure its trainees for
the entire duration of the session (within the French
territory
only), it is recommended that students take up an insurance
covering their instruments and personal belongings.
- Academie Internationale d'Ete de Nice registration implies
acceptance of all General Regulations.
- For minors, signature of responsible parents or legal
agent is requested as well as a declaration stating that the
Academy will not take upon any liability. This document must
be sent when you register.
- Through his registration at the "Academie Internationale
d'Ete de Nice, the student authorises the capture of his
image in the Academy's normal setting (master class and
concerts) with a view to the production of an audiovisual
work of an educational and commercial character, and gives
the express authorisation that his image thus captured be
incorporated, free of cost, in the above-mentioned
audiovisual work with a view to its reproduction, its
performance and its exploitation by any mode and process
known or unknown to date, on any medium, in any format, in
the entire world, in full or in part, and for the entire
duration for which the authors' copyrights on the works,
including any renewal of these rights, have been acquired.
Teachers can select the best videos among their master class
and put then at the disposal of the online Academy’s
educational video library.
